Gotta go fast! As the first reveals of the Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble SEGA Pass, Sonic is joining in on the action! He’s not alone either – he’s bringing his closest friends along for the ride! Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose are all included as well, fully playable in all game modes. Check them out in action in the latest trailer below!
Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is the latest entry in SEGA’s Super Monkey Ball franchise, which debuted in Japanese arcades in 2001 and was later ported to the Nintendo GameCube the same year. In the Super Monkey Ball games, players control a monkey inside a transparent ball, navigating through maze-like levels by tilting the environment.
This isn’t the first time Sonic characters have been present as extra characters in the franchise. The last entry, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania, also featured both Sonic and Tails as unlockable characters through in-game currency.
You can pre-order Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble on Amazon and the Nintendo eShop. Keep in mind that the Digital Deluxe edition already comes with the SEGA Pass, whereas if you order the physical version (dubbed the “Legendary Banana Edition”) or standard digital version, you’ll have to pay extra for the, uh… extra characters.
