Overview

SEGA announced Forever Fast on 5 June 2026, describing it as a collection of vocal themes from throughout the franchise’s 3D era. The first disc places music from different releases alongside one another rather than following a strictly chronological order, bringing together songs associated with Sonic, Shadow and other major entries in the series. Its closing selections include “Open Your Heart”, “One Way Dream” and “Speak With Your Heart”.[ref name="ForeverFastAnnouncement" /][ref name="ForeverFastCD"][cite_web url="https://blackscreenrecords.com/collections/sonic/products/forever-fast-sonic-the-hedgehog-cd" title="Forever Fast: 35th Anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog (CD)" website="Black Screen Records" as_ref="0"][/ref]

The second disc is devoted to recordings connected with the anniversary campaign. These include the Japanese and Chinese-language versions of “Speed Is My Life”, a newly recorded version of “Escape From the City”, and an instrumental recording of the anniversary song.[ref name="ForeverFastCD" /]
