TailsTube[1] (テイルスチューブ Teirusuchūbu?) is an online web series within the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It stars Miles "Tails" Prower as a VTuber and the host of the show. TailsTube is described as a "fun and informative, Tails-hosted show about all things Sonic".[1] Episodes are released to promote upcoming Sonic media and celebrate various holiday traditions and activities.

Production

TailsTube was officially announced on 17 March 2022 via the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account, with a debut promised for the following week.[1] Subsequent episodes, including the second and third, were released approximately three months apart. Ian Flynn later confirmed that a fourth episode was in development and slated for release in 2023, with the potential for additional episodes later that year.[2]

A second season of the series was subsequently announced during the 2023 Sonic Central presentation.

Premise

In TailsTube, Miles "Tails" Prower acts as the host, answering fan questions about the Sonic franchise. He is often joined by special guests from the series. The show is released in an episodic format on the official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel, with no set release schedule.

  • Aaron LaPlante does not reprise his role as Omega for undisclosed reasons, with Roger Craig Smith, who also voices Sonic, taking over the role.
