Miles Prower (マイルス・パウアー, Mairusu Pauā^?), better known as Tails (テイルス, Teirusu^?), is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is an anthropomorphic, two-tailed fox cub and Sonic's best friend. He can use his tails like helicopter rotors to fly and boasts remarkable genius and mechanical engineering skills. Tails very frequently accompanies Sonic in his adventures to thwart their nemesis, Doctor Eggman.

Tails is loyal, kind and curious. In his early years, he was frequently bullied for his twin tails. His life took a positive turn when he met Sonic, forming an unbreakable bond with him.
