==Playable characters==
There are a total of 33 playable characters (including four third-party characters). The game features specific platform rosters and no single platform has all 33 characters. Players start with twelve characters: [[Sonic the Hedgehog|Sonic]], [[Miles "Tails" Prower|Tails]], [[Knuckles the Echidna|Knuckles]], [[AiAi]], Beat, [[Amy Rose|Amy]], B.D. Joe, [[MeeMee]], [[Ulala]], Wreck-It Ralph, Metal Sonic and Alex Kidd, and the other characters are unlocked by winning enough stars in the events in World Tour. Racers include:
