Intrigued by this lost research, he infiltrated the military facility on [[Prison Island]] and released [[Shadow the Hedgehog]], the "Ultimate Life Form" created by Gerald. Together with Shadow and [[Rouge the Bat]], Eggman sought to gather the Chaos Emeralds to power the [[Eclipse Cannon]], a weapon aboard the [[Space Colony ARK]] capable of destroying planets. He created an AI named [[Sage]] for protection but became trapped in [[Cyber Space]]. Over time, he inadvertently bonded with Sage, whose abilities far exceeded his expectations. Sonic eventually destroyed the islands' [[Titan (Sonic Frontiers)|Titans]], freeing his friends and Eggman, but also releasing [[The End]], a world-threatening entity. Sonic defeated The End with Sage's help, culminating in Sage's sacrifice.
