Maria appears in the ''[[The Jet Black Hedgehog: Shadow the Hedgehog]]'' [[manga]] series published by [[CoroCoro Comic]]. She was a female living aboard the [[Space Colony ARK]] suffering from an illness. She often spent time playing with [[Shadow the Hedgehog]] before the Earth National Defense Forces raided the Space Colony ARK and attacked her. In her last words she confessed her love for Shadow and asked him not to let rage or prejudice consume him.

Maria gets transported to [[White Space]] before the events of the raid of the ARK unfold, she slowly gains back her senses through Shadow and [[Bug-Eye]] gathering the [[Three Wishing Orbs]].
