The immersive and family-friendly Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Cafe pop-up is set to open in Chamblee, GA, on January 18, 2025. This nostalgic dining experience marks the newest collaboration between gaming giant SEGA and the Secret Sauce Society, led by Andy Nguyen, Kevin Seo, and Phillip Huynh. This will be the fifth pop-up location for the experiential restaurant and the first to open in Georgia.
The vibrant eatery is designed to transport visitors into Sonic the Hedgehog’s universe, with decor inspired by the iconic game world. The menu offers franchise-themed items, including:
- Sonic’s Classic Chili Dog
- Spicy Fried Chicken Knuckles Sandwich
- Piko Piko Tenders
- Sides like Golden Ring Onion Rings, Fast Fries (a nod to Sonic’s speed), and the Green Hill Vegan Chili Cup
Drinks are equally inspired by beloved characters:
- Blue Blur Blueberry Slush (Sonic)
- Smashing Echidna Fruit Punch Slush (Knuckles)
- Team Dark Mocha Milkshake (Shadow)
- Sweet Amy Strawberry Milkshake (Amy Rose)
Every order will be served in custom-designed packaging featuring fan-favorite characters. Exclusive merchandise, including T-shirts, hats, and crewneck sweatshirts, will also be available, making this a must-visit spot for Sonic fans.
The Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Cafe first debuted in San Diego, CA, in July 2023 to rave reviews and enthusiastic crowds of gamers and foodies. Since then, pop-ups have opened in Chino Hills, CA; Katy, TX; and a second stop in San Diego in July 2024.
The Georgia pop-up will feature new menu items, including:
- Rouge’s Kickin’ Chicken Sando: Fried chicken with pimento cheese and special sauce on a brioche bun
- Chaos Spear Fries: Topped with marinara, pepperoni, and cheese
- Drop Dash Cookies: Decadent blue deep-fried Oreos
