Tyson Hesse, also known as Boxer Hockey, the co-producer and lead designer of the last two Sonic the Hedgehog movie entries, has come forward on the Sonic Retro forums stating that the trailer shown behind closed doors to a select number of theater owners and licensing partners is, in fact, not a real trailer intended for public viewing. It only contains a “handful of shots” from the movie.
It’s because people think there was some great trailer already shown to a bunch of people when there really wasn’t. It was handful of shots shown to theatre owners and licensing partners. It was never meant to be seen widely because it’s not a real trailer.
With the anticipation for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 still on the rise, there have been rumors floating about that the trailer would be dropping this month, and you can be sure we’ll be there to report on it if that eventually happens.
