Sonic Spinball Almost Had a 90s PC Port

SEGA has recently unveiled another fascinating nugget from their archives: plans for a PC version of Sonic Spinball. Alongside other titles like Sonic CD and Sonic & Knuckles, it seems that Sonic Spinball was also on the horizon for a PC release back in 1995. Interestingly, this was around the same time that Comix Zone and Ecco the Dolphin received enhanced versions for the PC.

No details were shared about what enhancements the port would’ve had, but judging by SEGA’s tweet, the port probably didn’t go very far into its development aside from the box art.
